| Frequently Asked Questions- Sleeping Under the Stars- MS Camping Who can attend this event? Students currently (school year 2007/08) in grades 6th – 8th are welcome to attend this outing! What time does this start? Drop off of students will be from 6:30 – 7:30 pm on Friday. We encourage parents to stay for some of the evening and help set up tents, eat hot dogs and enjoy some time with the youth. Parents – please let Darcy know if you are planning on staying to eat with us. Do you need to bring a tent? Yes and no. If you (or your family) have a tent please let Darcy know. We will need a couple of additional tents and will contact those families that offer their tents for the night. Please know that we will ask students to help set up and take down the tents! What else should you bring? You should bring a pillow, sleeping bag, comfy clothes, shoes, a lawn chair and possibly a flash light. Please do not bring any additional beverages (we will provide these). If you are interested in bringing food, please contact Darcy so you can bring enough to share with everyone. What is included in the $5 price? You will have a light supper (think hot dogs over a fire, chips and beverage) and other “camping treats”. A small breakfast (think cold, leftover hotdogs – just kidding – more like muffins) will be provided in the morning. What will we do? We will have a campfire, outdoor activities and time to just hang out, outside! We will expect students to quiet down (and sleep) later in the evening. Will there be chaperones sleeping “under the stars”? Yes! We will be asking parents to help chaperone this event. Darcy and her husband Joe will also be chaperoning. Can I bring a friend from another church? Absolutely! Friends are always welcome to attend any Bethel Youth activity! Please remember that they must complete all registration materials in order to be signed up for this event. Space is limited, so register early! What time is pick up in the morning? Students may be picked up at the Youngstrom’s between 8:30 – 9:30 am. If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to contact Darcy Youngstrom. |
